Life at Love in a Bowl never really stands still. Each day brings new seedlings, beds to tend to, fresh harvests, meals to prepare, children to nourish and a community.
None of it would be possible without you. Whether you donate, volunteer, share our story, offer your time or support us in any other way, every contribution is meaningful and helps to keep Love in a Bowl growing.
As we reflect on the past few weeks, we are deeply grateful to each and every person who continues to walk this journey with us. Together, you help us plant more than food, you help us grow hope, connection and care throughout Hout Bay.

Our heartfelt thanks go to the wonderful Mensch volunteers who lovingly knitted and donated 27 beanies and 33 handmade dolls for children in our community.
Every stitch represents time, care and generosity — bringing warmth, joy and a beautiful reminder to each child that they are loved and seen.
Power Of Play
Laughter, teamwork and a little friendly competition filled the farm when children from Ziyaad’s Skate School joined us for a special games session.
A big thank you to Teacher Mary for helping to make the afternoon so memorable, and to everyone who generously donated games.
Play is an important part of childhood. It creates opportunities for children to connect, build confidence, learn new skills and simply enjoy being together in a safe and welcoming space.

Meet Bulelwa, one of the true hearts of Love in a Bowl.
She has been with us since the very beginning and remains our calm in the storm. No matter how busy or chaotic the day becomes, Bulelwa keeps everything grounded with her steady presence and warm nature.
Pop into the packing station and you will almost certainly be welcomed by her wonderful smile.
