Hello Family
As 2025 draws to a close, December offers us a moment to pause, reflect and appreciate all that we have grown together. It has been a year of abundant harvests, meaningful connections and steady progress in our mission to nourish and uplift our community.
Thank you for your continued support — every visit, every veggie purchased, every shared moment on the farm has contributed to real impact where it matters most.
We wish you and your loved ones a joyful festive season filled with peace, love and rest. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2026!
Last Market
Join us for our last Talent Exchange Market of the year!
📅 Sunday, 14 December
⏰ 9am – 2pm
Come shop fresh farm veggies, connect with our community, and enjoy the final market before we break for the festive season.
Taking A Break
As we wrap up another incredible year of growth and impact, our team will be taking a short and much-needed break over the festive season. This pause allows our farmers, volunteers and kitchen teams to rest, spend time with their families, and return refreshed.
📅 Farm Closed:
19 December 2025 – 5 January 2026
During this time, our gardens will also enjoy their own natural reset — preparing the soil, nurturing the beds and setting the stage for abundant harvests in the new year.
Thank you for understanding and for supporting a community-powered farm that values people, rest and sustainability just as much as the food we grow.
Dario’s Pop Up
Even while the farm takes its break, you can still enjoy fresh, locally grown, nutrient-rich produce from LIAB. We’re bringing a special festive pop-up to Dario’s in Hout Bay — perfect for topping up your fridge, planning your Christmas feasts or simply enjoying a morning coffee while you choose your veggies.
📍 Dario’s Café, Hout Bay
📅 Pop-Up Dates: 22, 24, 29 & 31 December
⏰ 8am – 1pm
Impact Report
November was a month of meaningful progress across our programmes. We delivered 1,216 kg of fresh produce to ECD centres, prepared 6,470 nourishing meals through our Community Cook Up, and served a total of 7,686 meals to children and families across Hout Bay. In addition, we diverted 28,019 kg of organic waste from landfill, turning it into nutrient-rich compost that strengthens our soil and supports future harvests.
Every seed, every meal, every helping hand makes a difference 🤝
